    This article aims to present two intelligent agents, APL planner agent and ARL regulatory agent, enabling distance learners to plan and dynamically regulate their personalized learning time .The planning considers the speed of learner's understanding, the teaching units expected time of learning, the constraint learning path, the pace and the periodic learning time of the learner, while the regulation takes into account the timetable's perturbations during the learning process. To achieve our goal we have based our work on modeling diagrams, pedagogical graph and the learner's properties. In this paper we focus on the work modeling of APL and ARL, while remaining to validate in a more elaborate version.

  • Intelligent agents based improved map-reduce method for multiple databases

    Big Data became in the last years a key basis of competition and innovation. But it is difficult to process the whole amount of data using traditional database and software techniques. To overcome this issue, search methods were developed to faster achieve information from large databases. In this paper, we propose an approach based on the use of agent technology and big data concept in order to improve the process time of Map-Reduce programming model. Finally, the approach is validated by a case study in which we achieved a 1.7x speedup comparing to traditional Map-Reduce technique for 26Mb of data.

  • Independent navigation and functioning of intelligent agents by social interaction

    The focus of the effort underlying this paper is to evolve a co-operation based navigation scheme and a mechanism for ad hoc task division between members of a socially interactive swarm of intelligent robots that may find application in strategic warfare and in landmine detection and neutralization. A novel approach has been adopted for evolving a vision scheme for the intelligent agents that endows each member of the swarm with a considerable level of autonomy thereby allowing for re-configurability of the swarm.

    Discusses the implications of a single architecture principle for the design of autonomous intelligent agents. The principle is named the 'power vs generality tradeoff principle'. The structuring principle of layering is discussed as a potential solution to the power vs generality tradeoff problem. Layering applies the strategy of separation of concerns to power and generality by allocating separate resources to each. The author considers strategies for the enhancement of power and generality, along with an illustration of the layering principle in the effective area of agent functionality.<<ETX>>
