The whole testing process has been divided into testing planning, testing design, testing execution and faults correction, and each sub-process is modeled through the typical workflow net (WF_net). Finally, these four steps are all integrated into a complete testing process management framework, which can direct the construction of testing workflow management system.

This paper proposed an implementation scheme on how to use the original system, and then upgrades seamlessly it to the flexible workflow management system that based on the workflow engine. Using OSWorkflow that has been used in industry widely to upgrade the original Java-based Web management system, it can reduce the software development workload and shorten the development period.

  • Integrating Web services with agent based workflow management system (WfMS)

    Rapid changes in the business environment call for more flexible and adaptive workflow systems. Researchers have proposed that workflow management systems (WfMSs) comprising multiple agents can provide these capabilities. We have developed a multi-agent based workflow system, JBees, which supports distributed process models and the adaptability of executing processes. Modern workflow systems should also have the flexibility to integrate available Web services as they are updated. In this paper, we discuss how our agent-based architecture can be used to bind and access Web services in the context of executing a workflow process model. We use an example from the diamond processing industry to show how our agent architecture can be used to integrate Web services with WfMSs.

  • Design of an Exception Handing Algorithm of Workflow

    The popularization of the Internet/Intranet applications and the development of Web technology provide a perfect foundation for the realization of the Web- based workflow management systems, It has been primary characteristic of new- style workflow management system that the Web technology is adopted. Demanded to work normally in general status, the system furthermore must have capability in handling all kinds of exceptions flexibly. The unexpected exceptions should be altered to a expected exception so that to be handled conveniently for the workflowpsilas finishing in normal ways although with exceptions. In order to enhance the performance of exception handling algorithm in workflow, a searching algorithm of exception handling in workflow with low time complexity and low space complexity is designed. The algorithm can add new handling rule into exception handing base and filter old rule to discard in rule base so that the performance and efficiency of exception handing can be enhanced.

    With the definition of workflow management system's basic component, such as workflow model, process object, process instance, object instance, etc., the main workflow models based-on two-triple were founded, and transforming model based-on triple was set up. The related logical route of restructure and translation were presented. Two ways of coordination were proposed. The theory and the way of coordination oriented workflow model are discussed emphatically. In order to meet with the real need, a workflow instance is given, which is based-on model decomposition and instance transformation.
