The 2020 IEEE International Conference on Systems, Man, and Cybernetics (SMC 2020) will be held in Metro Toronto Convention Centre (MTCC), Toronto, Ontario, Canada. SMC 2020 is the flagship conference of the IEEE Systems, Man, and Cybernetics Society. It provides an international forum for researchers and practitioners to report most recent innovations and developments, summarize state-of-the-art, and exchange ideas and advances in all aspects of systems science and engineering, human machine systems, and cybernetics.   • AeroMACS Networks Fortified with Multihop Relays

    This chapter focuses on relay‐augmented AeroMACS networks with relay station specification conformant to the IEEE 802.16j amendment. It provides an extensive coverage on characteristics, applications, classifications, and usage scenarios of IEEE 802.16j‐based multihop relays. A case is then made for the need to make use of multihop relays in AeroMACS networks. Three key aspects of MAC sublayer are considered: forwarding scheme, routing and path management mechanisms, and initial ranging and network entry techniques. The chapter examines some of the challenges that a system designer faces when considering the inclusion of multihop relays and IEEE 802.16j based technologies in AeroMACS networks. Instances of applications of relay‐augmented broadband wireless networks are briefly discussed. Radio resource management (RRM) refers to measurement, exchange, and control of radio resource‐related indicators in a wireless network. The chapter presents a simple analysis conducted for calculation of a raw measure of multihop gain.

    The aim of this tutorial is to provide some insight into the technical details of the different technologies that exists for 3G wireless communication. The tutorial begins with a short overview of the different technologies that exist for 3G wireless communication. This also includes an overview of the related specification and standardization activities technologies In the second part of the tutorial, a more detailed description of the different 3G wireless technologies, Wideband CDMA (WCDMA), cdma2000, and UTRA TDD, is given.   • An evaluation method of anti-jamming capability to communication system based on cloud-evidence theory

    With the development and application of new anti-jamming technology, the anti- jamming capability evaluation of communication system has been an important issue for electronic warfare. Aiming at the uncertainty caused by the fuzziness and randomness of evaluation indexes and the subjectivity of experts during evaluation process, an information fusion method based on cloud model and D-S evidence theory is proposed to evaluate anti-jamming capability more scientifically and objectively. This method designs cloud model of comment grades to construct the basic possibility assignment function of every index which is called cloud-evidence in this paper. And the evaluation results are determined by linearly weighting of quantization values of the comment and the basic possibility assignment which is synthesized by the improved evidence infusion rules based on evidence distance. Taken the direct sequence spread spectrum communication system as an example, the simulation results show that the rationality and effectiveness of the method. It further enhances the credibility of the evaluation process by the effective integration of the fuzziness and randomness. This study provides a beneficial reference value for the development and demonstration of communication system.
