Given the unstructured nature of the tunnelling construction method there is an inherent difficulty in the automation of the shotcreting process. A complete description of the implemented control architecture of the shotcreting machine, the automated shotcreting process, the real-time quality layer prediction and the analysis of the tests made in real sites are shown in this paper.

  • The effect of stevioside glycosides blending liquid on the yield and quality in rice

    The experiment was done at Qingdao agricultural university from 2008 to 2009. The varieties were Handao502 and Shengdao13. The effect of different concentration Stevioside glycosides blending liquid (SBL) on the yield and quality were studied. The best concentration and method of SBL were discussed. The result of the experiment showed: the appropriate spraying concentrations of SBL on upland and irrigated rice can enhance the grain per ear and the percentage of grain filling and then improve the grain yield up to 13.8% in upland rice and 9.4% in irrigated rice, decrease the amylase content of upland rice and irrigated rice, and reduce the gelatinization temperature, and improve the crude protein content of brown rice and the nutritional quality of rice, thus enhance the cooking and eating quality rice. It can improve the quality of appearance because the chalky rice rate and chalkiness degree decreased. Thus, appropriate spraying concentrations of SBL can improve the economic quality of rice and increase the economic benefit of the farmer.

    The evolution of the emitter sheet resistance upon phosphorus in-diffusion from a spray-on dopant has been studied in the temperature range 840-990 /spl deg/C. In complement with investigations of emitter diffusion profiles, by both electrochemical capacitance-voltage profiling and secondary ion mass spectrometry, we find that the sheet resistance is determined directly by the depth of the flat plateau near the surface in profiles of electrically active phosphorus. Thus, with respect to sheet resistance, an emitter can be regarded as a constant concentration abrupt box layer, with thickness and concentration specified by the flat plateau, irrespective of the actual profile at lower concentrations. Therefore, independent optimization of the emitter profile at lower concentrations is enabled.

  • Life testing and stability of SnO<inf>2</inf>/n-Si solar cells

    SnO2/Si solar cells having 10-12% sunlight engineering efficiencies were fabricated by electron beam evaporation of SnO2and by spraying SnCl4onto heated Si. The cells were then encapsulated in various ways and the stability and degradation mechanisms for these cells were examined using SIMS depth profiling and accelerated weather testing. Preliminary results indicate an initial efficiency decrease followed by a slower rate of degradation which decreased as a function of time. Depending upon the cell environment, the fill factor remained constant or decreased by a few percent. The short circuit current remained constant and the Vocdecreased independent of the testing conditions of the cell. A decrease of Voccan indicate a change in junction parameters, oxide thickness or surface state density. It has been suggested that the device degradation may be attributed to diffusion of the grid metals. SIMS analysis indicated the Cr and Al used in grids on earlier cells penetrated through the entire SnO2layer. It is possible that the back contact is forming a junction with the Si and reduces the open circuit voltage of the cell.
