The 2020 IEEE International Conference on Systems, Man, and Cybernetics (SMC 2020) will be held in Metro Toronto Convention Centre (MTCC), Toronto, Ontario, Canada. SMC 2020 is the flagship conference of the IEEE Systems, Man, and Cybernetics Society. It provides an international forum for researchers and practitioners to report most recent innovations and developments, summarize state-of-the-art, and exchange ideas and advances in all aspects of systems science and engineering, human machine systems, and cybernetics. Advances in these fields have increasing importance in the creation of intelligent environments involving technologies interacting with humans to provide an enriching experience and thereby improve quality of life. The Internet of Things (IoT) is a natural extension and evolution of Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA). Early SCADA systems were deployed to monitor specific production processes, and separate systems were employed to manage assets, coordinate maintenance operations, optimize supply chains and other business operations. Today's enterprises are frequently composed of a patchwork of these legacy information systems. One of the concepts central to the IoT is Machine to Machine (M2M) communication. It is one of the advances that made the Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) such a revolutionary invention. By giving machines the ability to make decisions and perform actions based on nothing more than information provided to them by other machines, SCADA technology completely redefined the processes involved in industries like manufacturing, water treatment, oil and gas, and much more. Task automation driven by mechanically autonomous devices has improved the speed, efficiency, and quality of industrial processes.
Nowadays, India is progressing drastically. With the changing India parking problem is a major issue in major cities in India. Insufficient space is always been a problems in major cities and in urban area. The vehicles are parked callously on the streets occupying more space. And in current scenario demand of personal vehicles has also increases exponentially. So, the problem of parking is a big concern by increasing vehicle and adding more congestion on roads of India. To overcome this issue various parking system are also available but this types requires more space not cost effective. So, this project is focused on developing a parking system which is fully automatic and in same context required less space and is cost effective such that 12 cars can be parked in a space of 3 cars only.
Today smart grids are changing the current concept of power systems. It brings a lot of benefits for energy companies and customers. The paper is one of the first steps in the research of this topic in Peru. The main goal of this work is to design and test a SCADA system for controlling real power in a synchronous generator. The test were made in the Smart Grids system laboratory at UTEC (Universidad de Ingeniería y Tecnología).
With the advantages of reasonable structure, convenient installation and easy transportation, the module drilling rig instead of the traditional oil rig, has been more widely used in offshore oil fields. However, due to its module design, there are still some problems such as low-level of automation and difficulties of monitoring and management of the whole system. In this paper, a supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) system for WZ11-4N WHPB oil platform is designed according to the demand analysis. The system hardware includes master computers, slave computers and a communication network. The software is involved with the design of data management system, control program and the monitoring system. Construction of the SCADA system should achieve real-time monitoring and data sharing of drilling data resources. It should effectively improve the control level and system efficiency, also facilitate control experts to analyze and process the data, and then provide effective service and security for oil exploration.
