  • Detection and tracking of moving vehicles with Gotcha radar systems

    The authors have defined an approach for detecting and tracking moving vehicles with Gotcha radar systems. Our approach exploits tracker feedback to address challenges for detection, false alarm mitigation, geolocation, and tracking in an urban surveillance environment. The authors presented a mathematical framework for processing multichannel SAR data in order to mitigate the combined effects of moving target defocus and strong clutter interference. The algorithm uses MRP adaptively in a STAP framework to focus up moving vehicles and enhance signal to clutter ratios. Using simulated data, we illustrated SAR defocus of an accelerating point scatterer and mitigation of the defocus using MRP. For this simulated example, we also presented the potential improvements to SINR loss using our adaptive processing compared to more standard STAP approaches.

This paper is to discuss the preparation of ERP system implementation, implementation work and application effects in the final chapter. These effects reflect the enterprise core competitive ability enhancement.

Concentric ring electrodes have been shown to estimate the surface Laplacian directly with significantly better spatial resolution than conventional electrodes and possess spatial filtering characteristics. Movement Related potentials (MRP) were recorded using tri- polar and bipolar concentric ring electrodes as well as conventional disc EEG electrodes while the subjects were pressing a micro-switch. The electrodes were placed in an array of 35 encompassing the area between Fz-Cz- Pz-P3-T5-T3-T7-F3. Mutual information (MI) of the MRP signals recorded with the different electrode systems was compared. The MRP signals recorded with the tri-polar concentric ring electrode system have significantly less MI between locations than the other two electrode configurations tested. The decrease in MI should increase the total information available by pooling of information from independent tri-polar concentric ring electrodes. These characteristics should make tri-polar concentric electrodes beneficial for EEG applications

  • Absolute phase determination for P-band repeat-pass UWB SAR interferometry

    The P-band ultra-wideband synthetic aperture radar interferometry (InSAR) not only has the capability of foliage penetration, but also has the advantage in determining the absolute interferometric phase, which plays a key role in the InSAR data processing. In this paper, a novel absolute phase determination approach for P-band UWB InSAR is presented. A reference phase is generated from the registration result for aiding the phase unwrapping and absolute phase determination in the approach. The experimental results show that the approach has high efficiency.

  • EEG classification of emotions using emotion-specific brain functional network

    The brain functional network perspective forms the basis to relate mechanisms of brain functions. This work analyzes the network mechanisms related to human emotion based on synchronization measure - phase-locking value in EEG to formulate the emotion specific brain functional network. Based on network dissimilarities between emotion and rest tasks, most reactive channel pairs and the reactive band corresponding to emotions are identified. With the identified most reactive pairs, the subject-specific functional network is formed. The identified subject-specific and emotion-specific dynamic network pattern show significant synchrony variation in line with the experiment protocol. The same network pattern are then employed for classification of emotions. With the study conducted on the 4 subjects, an average classification accuracy of 62 % was obtained with the proposed technique.

  • Agent-based shop control system under holonic manufacturing concept

    Present shop control methods often fail in observing even-driven job allocation due to the existence of many disparities caused by scrape, resource failures, etc. In order to solve these problems, new strategies of intelligent manufacturing systems are proposed. An agent strategy, that is autonomous and cooperative, is described. This paper presents the control method of agent- based shop control system that takes proper account of the change of external environment.
