The cutter runout, then, is considered by the rotating coordinate system. The cutting simulation is performed in drilling of Aluminum die casting based on the force model presented. First, the force model is validated in comparison of the simulation with the measured cutting force. Then, the cutting force is predicted in drilling with the cutter runout. The cutting forces loaded on the edges are compared each other.

  • Research of the S7-200 Based Portable Top Drive Drilling Simulator

    With the constant updates of the drilling equipments, the traditional portable drilling simulator also need to be improved and updated timely to meet the skill training requirements of the drilling site operators and the technicians. On the basis of the existing portable simulator, this subject has updated the console, the hardware controller and the software system, also has complete the design of the portable drilling simulator which is smaller in volume and easy to be carried and used based on PLC.   • Research on Intelligent Monitoring Technology of Micro Hole Drilling

    Aiming at the problem that the micro drills is easy to be broken in the process of drilling; it is difficult to detect the drill bit. The drilling torque signal is taken as the monitoring object. A new method for the on-line monitoring the micro-drill breakage based on BP neural network is proposed. After the three layer wavelet decomposition of the drilling torque signal, the energy feature vector is used as the input layer of the BP network, and the mapping model of the working state and the drilling force of the micro drill bit is obtained by using the network structure of the four layers. Using MATLAB software and Lab VIEW software, a micro drill on-line monitoring software system is constructed. The experimental results show that the accuracy of the wavelet neural network is very high, which is more than 90%, which shows the validity of the monitoring model and the popularization of the system.

  • The Application and Research of a Simulation-Based Line Balancing Method

    Aiming at the production line of gearbox, this paper applies a line balancing method and the object oriented modeling technology. Firstly, the simulation model of the box streamline is set up and, the bottleneck is found out and analyzed with the model. Secondly, the rebuilt strategy based on the principles of ECRS(Eliminate, Combine, Rearrange, Simple) and the theory of production line balancing is given and evaluated by the model. Finally, comparing with the former production line, implementation of the new strategy makes the production efficiency and quality improved greatly.
