Three dimensional panoramic imaging is an essential tecnique for expanding narrow field of view in microscopic systems. Pathologists can analyze on three dimensional images with wide field of view using this technique. In general, microscopes (confocal, stereo, electron) were used which give the three- dimensional structure of the sample and extra algorithms were not used to extract the three dimensional structure in the literature studies proposed for the development of three dimensional panoramic imaging technique. In contrast to studies in the literature, the specimen prepared for cytopathological analyses was scanned with a light microscope and the three dimensional structure of the sample with wide field of view was obtained in this study. The proposed study consists of two main steps: extraction of three dimensional images and three dimensional panoramic imaging. The data set used in the study was obtained by scanning the specimen prepared for pleural effusion for cytopathological analyses with 20X magnification objective. In addition, a motorized system has been developed that allows automatic focusing and scanning by moving in X-Y-Z axes to control microscope.

Thus, for the initial 4 postoperative weeks, minimal systolic assistance is provided. This study determined if the LDM is capable of providing early assistance after 4 weeks of training. Cardiomyoplasty surgery involves severing the perforating intercostal arteries to the LDM, detaching the LDM from its distal insertion, and wrapping it around the heart. At each of these steps, we measured LDM global shortening in 6 dogs with 4 weeks training of the LDM. By training the LDM a significant functional improvement was seen with a preserved capability to sustain contraction even after raising the muscle.<<ETX>>
The data exchange efficiency of traditional XML is low and its versatility is poor, while JSON has a higher transmission efficiency compared with XML. As a lightweight data-interchange format, JSON is becoming more and more popular, but not as common as XML for its latter appearance in the application of web services. If we directly translate the XML data format into JSON data format, the original data will have format error. Since there is XML Schema Documents to validate XML format, and the JSON Schema to validate the JSON format. We can translate the XSD to its corresponding JSON Schema to make sure the translation from XML to JSON with no format error. So far, there is no much research on the translation from XSD into JSON Schema. In this paper we made a dictionary to translate every node of XSD to its equivalent JSON Schema format by unfolding the XSD. With some tests, we find the method can basically have a good translation result.
Spontaneous, self-sustained arterial blood pressure oscillations (APO; Mayer- rhythm) were studied in dogs exposed to hypotension, hemorrhage, hypoxia, or cerebral ischemia. Frequency spectra analysis of APO revealed a large amplitude (15-30 mmHg), low frequency (0.04-0.06 Hz) component. Higher frequency peaks (f>0.1 Hz) of much lower power amplitude were associated with respiratory activity. These experimental pathophysiologic states resulted in the loss of broadband frequency spectra (observed in control studies) and the emergence of dominant bifurcating narrowband APO rhythms. The periodicities observed implicate a CNS-mediated neural pacemaker (i.e. sympathetic overdrive) in arterial pressure oscillations.<<ETX>>
In this paper, we present a reinforcement learning model of the shepherding of a flock of sheep by a dog. The shepherding task, a heuristic model originally proposed by Strombom, et al., describes the dynamics of the sheep while being herded by a dog to a predefined target. This study recreates the proposed model using SARSA, an algorithm for learning the optimal policy in reinforcement learning. Results show that with a discretized state and action space, the dog is able to successfully herd a flock of a sheep to the target position by first learning to reach a subgoal. A reward is awarded when the dog reaches the neighbourhood of a subgoal, while a penalty is incurred for each time the shepherding task is not completed. The stochasticity of the interaction among sheep and dog, including the existence of multiple subgoals affect the learning time of the agent. Finally, we present an example of the learned shepherding task which shows the agent's continuous success after the 350th episode.
Wireless local loop as a means of connecting subscribers to a telecommunications network is becoming a more popular method in the face of competition and customer demands. This paper addresses some of the new problems and demands which will be faced by a telecommunications operator. The expected implementation of wireless local loop technologies in an existing network will raise new problems, not faced by the operator before. In this respect Telkom SA is no exception. In Telkom the second-generation cordless telephone (CT2) is the first of these new technologies.
The conduction behavior of the AV node was studied in autonomically blocked dogs during rapid atrial stimulation. It is shown that conduction time through the node depends on the recovery time since the last ventricular activation (recovery), and also on the time-dependent changes of the node due to lengthy prior stimulation, which leads to an increased conduction time (fatigue). A theoretical model is presented that incorporates both recovery and fatigue which can be used to predict AV modal behavior, on a beat-to-beat basis given any simulation history. The validity of this model was tested by attempting to simulate the time-dependent changes observed in AV nodal conduction during Wenckebach pattern generation (second degree AV nodal block). The predictions showed good agreement with the experimental observations.<<ETX>>
