    An algorithm for automatic component placement that reduces electromagnetic (EM) noise from digital printed circuit boards is presented. First, the components are divided into groups by using a rule-based expert system along with a circuit's netlist and parts list. Then, the grouped components are placed by using a novel placement algorithm called "EMI balance placement." Finally, components that have a net length restriction are placed. We need to produce a high quality halftone image for many combinations of color planes, as well as for any single color plane. In this paper, we studied the properties and power spectrum characteristics of combined blue noise patterns. An approach is proposed which is based on digital filter techniques and can be used to generate a set of jointly-blue noise masks. The masks are individually blue noise and also produce blue noise patterns when the individual patterns are combined in the usual sense of color overlay.

  • Influence of Gamut Mapping Intents on Image Quality in Digital Printing

    Based on the results obtained by spectrophotometer measurements, the gamut volumes of ICC standard rendering intents were calculated with the Convhulln function in MATLAB. At the same time the visual evaluations were adopted to evaluate the output image quality. The data analysis in relation to the results of visual evaluations shows the difference influence of the rending intents to digital image quality and the insufficient of using chroma to evaluate the image quality. The results can be significant for explaining the relationships of gamut volume, rendering intent and the image quality in digital printing and for the scientific evaluation to image quality.

    Technology has never been the exclusive domain of science, any more than expressivity has been the vaunted preserve of art. Clearly, ample room for integration and crossover exists-for example, with hybridization of traditional artists' tools through software programs and standardization of artists' methods. The value of picturing system has proven to be its applicability and remarkable adaptability as a working method in different media.

    A method capable of diagnosing arbitrary digital circuits in the presence of multiple faults is developed. The method uses a stable-table representation of the components. The circuit is entered graphically. It is possible to produce a diagnosis without making any assumption about the fault behavior.   • Close-loop image adjustment subsystem in digital printing

    We have just developed a digital printing system in which the traditional negative film is replaced by the LCD. Since the image displayed on the LCD is influenced by the illuminant derived from the three dichroic mirrors (RGB), and gamma adjustment proceeded in the signal processor IC. We put forward a close-loop image adjustment subsystem including some hardware and a set of effective algorithms. The image adjustment is proceeded by detecting the RGB intensity of the image on the LCD through image sensors, and transferring it to the computer, and then setting the relationship between the image in the computer and the data from the image sensor by the algorithms. As a result, we can get the perfect photo image.
