  • SNR probability in time-interleaved ADCs with random channel mismatches

    One of the ways to push the speed limits of Analog to Digital Converters (ADCs) is to time-interleave several channels. However, any mismatch between channels degrades the converter resolution. This work is a deep study of the impact of random time skew, gain and offset mismatches on the Signal-to-Noise Ratio (SNR). The SNR probability density function (PDF) is determined as a function of both these errors and the number of channels. It provides valuable information about the performance margins that could be expected in a design.

  • Common Data Format for the Power System Simulattion Programs

    In this paper, an application based on VB.net is built on the Oracle database to solve the data conversion issues for power system simulation programs. Common models for power system simulations are created in the Oracle database to serve as a platform for one-stop data depository. The programs are developed in VB to transfer data into the database and convert them into different formats. The testing results show that the conversion can be operated conveniently and the efficiency and accuracy are improved.

  • Multiplier-free bandpass channelizer for undersampled applications

    Today, there is a strong motivation to increase the digital content of low- power wireless transceivers. Direct data conversion is often not possible, or practical, at high radio frequencies. In such instances, undersampling analog- to-digital converters (ADCs) are often used to alias information, residing above the ADC's Nyquist frequency, down to baseband as a set of nonoverlapping subbands. In this paper a low-complexity, programmable, band-selectable channelizer (a.k.a., digital downconverter) is presented that can efficiently access specific subbands from an undersampled signal space.

    In account of the heterogeneous data existed in the e-commerce, the solution of heterogeneous database data exchange middleware based on XML is brought up. With the beginning of heterogeneous data integration, this paper combined with the examples of e-commerce platform construction, realized the transformation and integration of the relational data to XML data, which provided the underlying support for the data sharing, publishing and application access among various systems.

  • A methodology for automatic generation of data conversion topologies from algorithms

    A methodology for automatic generation of data conversion topologies from algorithms is described. Based on the symbolical manipulation of the corresponding analog-digital graph representation, the analog and digital graph partitions are first translated into a set of functional building blocks and a state machine, respectively. The final conversion system topology is determined by instantiating the identified functional blocks with the appropriate circuits available in a library and generating the corresponding sizing rules.<<ETX>>
