The 2020 IEEE International Conference on Systems, Man, and Cybernetics (SMC 2020) will be held in Metro Toronto Convention Centre (MTCC), Toronto, Ontario, Canada.   • Sudoku Bit Arrangement for Combined Demosaicking and Watermarking in Digital Camera

    In this paper, an enhanced combined demosaicking and watermarking (CDW) method is proposed. Such a combination leads to lower power and time consumption comparing with being performed separately. In the proposed method, bits are arranged in a special order employing a Sudoku pattern. Results indicate that this arrangement increases robustness against JPEG compression attack.

  • Ring-shaped digital watermark for rotated and scaled images using random-phase sinusoidal function

    Digital watermarking for a still image is considered. A new spatial-domain watermarking method is presented. The method is applicable for rotated and scaled images. A watermark is constructed with a ring-shaped constraint. A sinusoidal function with random phase is used for generating each watermark ring. The method can not only be used for watermark detection in the presence of image rotation, but also for the estimation of the angle rotated, without the need for the original image. A practical method for the construction of such a watermark is described. Results from experiments performed with images, in electronic and printed forms, are provided.

  • Reversible image watermarking based on a generalized integer transform

    In this paper, a recently proposed reversible image watermarking algorithm based on reversible contrast mapping (RCM) is further developed. The integer transform, RCM, which is originally defined on a pair of integers, is extended to integer array of arbitrary length. Based on this generalization, the embedding capacity can be significantly increased. Meanwhile, the embedding distortion is well controlled by a suitable selection of embeddable pixel blocks. In fact, the hidden data is priorly embedded into the blocks that introduce less distortion. Furthermore, the proposed scheme does not need additional data compression, and it has low computational complexity. The experiments verify that the novel scheme outperforms the original RCM-based method and some state-of-the-art reversible watermarking algorithms, especially the ones based on integer transform.

  • Sensitivity Analysis Attacks Against Randomized Detectors

    Sensitivity analysis attacks present a serious threat to the security of popular spread spectrum watermarking schemes. Randomization of the detector is thought to increase the immunity of such schemes against cryptanalysis. In this paper, we introduce a new attack against randomized detectors. This attack is successful, which implies that spread spectrum schemes still lack security.

  • An enhancement in security and copyright protection technique used for digital still image

    Digital communication facilitates us to transmission of data from transmission station to receiver station. Digital data required different multimedia techniques for transferring and maintaining the quality of digital data. As we know that, digital data are in various formats like text, audio, video, image, graphics, and message or in animated format. During transmission of digital data through channel, digital data requires of security as well as copyright protection. In this paper, 2-D digital still image is used for experimental purpose. There are variety of techniques and algorithms which can provide security and copyright protection services. The combination of DWT and DCT digital watermarking technique is used to provide copyright protection service and security services can be provided by AES technique using 256 bits key. The Combination of digital image watermarking and AES technique provides authenticity, copyright protection, and security to digital image against different attacks like Cropping, Gaussian noise, Salt and pepper noise, JPEG compression, Median filtering and Rotation attack.
