This paper describes two multi-phase faults events which occurred during periods of high air conditioning use. There was a significant loss of load in these events which is attributed to air conditioner motor protection. The overall response of the transmission system is simulated using induction motor models based on the characteristics of a typical residential air conditioner compressor motor. The sensitivity of factors such as fault location, fault duration and excitation system performance is also investigated.

Through the analysis of pressure and pump power transformer and flow system, as well as combinations of different modes of pump efficiency, pointing out the maximum extent possible to optimize the method of network characteristics and ways to save energy consumption of the water distribution system.
An expert fuzzy-PID fusion type controller is designed for VAV air conditioning system base on plenty of experience of practical projects. The principle of a typical VAV air conditioning system is introduced firstly. And the control characteristic curves of different VAV terminal units are given. The design thinking and course of expert fuzzy-PID controller for the VAV system is described importantly. The structure of the fusion type controller is given an the fuzzy logic rule set is shown. The simulation system for room temperature control using the designed controller is established by MATLAB. And the simulation result is given when different PID parameters are set. The simulation result proves the design is feasible.

The realization of the core algorithm depends on parameters adjustable fuzzy-PD algorithm to ensure the control precision and the flexibility. The detailed design steps and key design result are given. The MATLAB simulation result proves the design is reasonable and can be applied in practical projects. The design thinking in this paper is new and can help engineers improve their control strategy in their practical works.
Energy saving potential in the AC (air conditioning) system is the focus of the researchers all over the world. In China, the main problems in AC systems are the high consumption and low utilization of energy. Enormous energy is consumed by the air conditioning systems of residential buildings, which makes the energy conservation more important. Currently many kinds of central air- conditioning systems are being used in residential buildings, each has different energy efficiency and will lead to different total energy consumption. So the selection of AC system schemes is of great significance to energy conservation. In this paper, based on an existing building, six schemes of residential central AC systems are presented, and their primary energy ratios are calculated respectively. The results show that the primary energy ratio of water loop heat pump system is the maximum, which will be the optimal AC system scheme for the residential buildings, and that of household gas- fired air conditioning system is the minimum, the application of which will not be good to energy conservation from the view of energy utilization.
Optimal design and energy saving have become the hot spots in air conditioning technology. This paper mainly describes the key design techniques of individual air conditioning system for multi-purpose marine monitoring center and central air conditioning system for "practice teaching ship" of Shanghai Maritime University. The results show that outdoor air pretreatment and second return air system give full play to the superiority of energy saving. The refrigerating capacity will be reduced by 25% without heater and about 30% of energy saving can be obtained comparing with the existing conventional air conditioning system.
A system structure and the procedure of fuzzy control of central air conditioner (CAC) in building are presented in this paper. Discuss the design of improved fuzzy controller about room temperature controller in detail, including the hardware design and software programming based on MCU (Micro programmed Control Unit). The functions of temperature controller are completed under the application that includes main program and interrupt service program that realizes the communication with the whole building via CAN bus. With the improved fuzzy control applied, it removes the stable error near the control point, and its rapidity is almost same as that of the table method. The result proved that this temperature control system realizes the reliable control of the central room air conditioner and the goal of saving energies in practices.
This paper will focus on showing the projected effects of PHEVs on residential loads in the Northeast and Southwest U.S. The Southwest studies, based in New Mexico, include consideration of central air conditioning (A/C) as a major load. The Northeast studies, based in Massachusetts, examine winter as well as summer load profiles with approximately the same PHEV charging requirements. Since truly commercial PHEVS are not expected to be available until late 2010, we have studied the literature and projections from manufacturers and others working in the PHEV to estimate battery capacities and charging power requirements. We have assumed 9-10 kWh per charge over periods of 5 hours. If a 7.0 kW PV system (ac rating) is employed in NM, this energy resource will provide most of the energy required for home use as well as charging two PHEVs. The complexity of system modeling is very typical in central air-conditioning, especially when considering the multi-working-condition sub-areas, multi- parameters and time delay problems, the complexity of mathematical model will greatly increase. Under the state, the question of how to obtain the correct model, whose error with the practical system is in the acceptable range, becomes more practical and theoretical meaningful. Through theoretical analysis and experimental conclusion, the paper simplifies the air- conditioning room to a single content plant with some self-balance capacity. The paper discusses the production of time delay and its effect. It considers the pertinence of temperature and moisture, at the same time the paper compares the intelligent optimal control algorithm with system PID control algorithm. These researches are very meaningful for the following work.
The phenomenon of low efficiency and waste is prevalent in public buildings. One of the reasons is the bad habit of people. There is no way to judge the level of waste ever since a long time ago. In order to analyze the level of building energy utilization to implement low energy building, this paper presents a concept of energy efficiency. It divides the energy of building into two parts. One part if effective energy, the other one is ineffective energy. The answer of effective energy divided by total energy is energy validity. Because the effective energy of building terminal is very difficult to measure directly, we can only use existing examination technology to calculate the parameters such as temperature, illumination and sensation to get change rate of time. Then unifying the behavioral characteristics of people, we gain the time of effective energy using. The ratio of both times can represent energy validity indirectly. In order to confirm this method, we have calculated the energy validity by using data of different buildings. The result indicates that the energy validity can reflect the level of artificial energy waste. It would be a quantitative indicator to obtain reasonable energy consumption of building.
Develop safety levels for human exposure to electromagnetic fields from 0 to 3kHz. This standard will be based on the results of an evaluation of the relevant scientific literature and proven effects which are well established and for which thresholds of reaction are understood.
