    Image registration is an important task in the field of computer vision and pattern recognition. And the applied values is also reflected in the study of remote sensing, medical imaging and the object indentifying of multi-sensor fusion. In this paper, a new subpixel registration methods which based on wavelet analysis was proposed by improving polynomial subdivision algorithm and pixel level registration. Furthermore, the precision of the method was also analysed after the process. The simulation results shows that the method in this paper achieves good effects and reaches the precision of sub-pixel.

The wavelet transformation or the decomposition displays the good time frequency localization characteristic and the multi-criteria function, therefore the wavelet nerve network based on the wavelet decomposition and the nerve network has the good fault-tolerant ability and the non-linearity approaching performance. And based on this, a complete controlling risk model of cooperatively technical innovation is brought forward, and the algorithm of risk control model is discussed.

This paper based on a active control tests, using wavelet scaling function approximation with the ability to filter out high frequency components, built a piezoelectric actuator control dynamic model by displacement and velocity feedback signal, which solution the instability problem caused by the overflow observation and control overflow coupling, and it be in the actual application and verify in the experimental.

  • A segmentation method of merged numerals by wavelet analysis and GVF model

    Aiming for some limit of the recognition-free approach to the segment merged numerals, a new segmentation method is proposed based on GVF mode in this paper. Firstly, this paper presents a new segment model based on wavelet multi-scale analysis and GVF model, and then we apply this energy model to segment the merged numerals. This method got the candidate segment line by contour method, and then confirmed the segment path based on energy model. The segmented digits have a more natural shape than others.

  • An application of wavelet analysis to procedure of averaging waveform of 40-Hz auditory steady-state response

    The auditory steady-state response (ASSR) is one of auditory evoked brain responses applied to objective audiometry test. ASSR evoked by an amplitude- modulated tone is recorded as a waveform with the same frequency as the stimulus modulation frequency. Since the 40-Hz ASSR can be measured when subjects are awake, a rapid objective audiometry test has been desired for the 40-Hz ASSR. In the previous paper, based on wavelet analysis, we proposed a design of procedure of averaging waveform of 40-Hz ASSR for our original objective audiometry device. In this paper, we present detail examination using complex continuous wavelet analysis of characteristics of brain waves obtained by our original objective audiometry device. We also propose a Meyer type band-pass filter to extract the waveform data of around 40 Hz. The effectiveness of band pass filter is shown by an experiment.

  • Industrial application of wavelet analysis

    Wavelet analysis is a right successor of Fourier analysis based on the self- similarity. It is a very nice tool in industries as same as Fourier one, since wavelet was invented by an engineer. The application has been started at voice and image analyses, especially data compression as MPEG-4, JPEG2000 and so on. We applied wavelet analysis to measurement of time delay of a dynamical system including an air conditioner, a boiler plant, an atomic reactor, and so on. Moreover, we applied it to airbag logic, tire condition estimation, road condition estimation, vital sign detection, and so on. Based on these works, this paper shows the potentiality of wavelet analysis in the industrial application.
