  • Reflections on legislation about construction of integrated transportation system

    An integrated traffic and transportation system is a complex dynamic system consisting of transport network equipment, carriers, passenger and cargo flows and organizational management for different means of transportation. It is the infrastructure system that maintains the functioning of the entire socio- economic system .Its function is to meet transport needs and achieve this goal of being safe, fast, economic, convenient, and punctual. However, China has not yet established its integrated transportation legal system and its social development has generated enormous need for conducting legal research into integrated transportation. In this paper, the paper first analyze what integrated transportation legislation regulates; then it expounds the basic theory of integrated transportation and analyzed the characteristics of operators of integrated transportation systems; In the third step we analyze the way of regulating integrated transportation by government; In the last section, it describes the current status of integrated transportation legislation in China and proposes relevant suggestions on legislation.

This paper first introduces a design of function of integrated transportation hub information management (ITHIM), multi traffic enterprises negotiating-cooperation problems in (ITHIM) platform and the role of discipline knowledge science and systems science in enterprises, service agent and transport-related branch as well. Then, after the discussion on current trend in systems science, the paper proposes systems methodology for knowledge management and creation in traffic organization management of ITHM. Finally, the paper discusses mathematical modeling techniques to represent organization negotiation and human knowledge management.

  • Types and characteristics analysis of integrated transportation corridors

    Integrated transportation corridor classification is one of the basic elements of the integrated transportation theory. In this paper, the existing problems of integrated transportation corridors classification are first analyzed. The existed corridor types and characteristics are summarized in terms of spatial level, transportation modes, and service objects, and relevant content has been added and improved. Then, transportation corridor types based on service features and functional characteristics are proposed, and characteristics analysis is also conducted. The results indicate that the classification based on service features and functional characteristics can not only reflect the supply and demand of corridors, but directly show the function of corridors. Finally, the proposed corridor classifications are analyzed with a case.

  • Research on the management factors in calamity prevention and control of integrated transportation hub

    The construction of integrated transportation hub(ITH) is an inevitable trend with the development of integrated transportation system. ITH is a best way to realize efficient exchange of various transportation ways and to realize public traffic priority development in city. Meanwhile, it also points out a new research area — how to prevent and control the calamities of integrated transportation hub. Firstly, this paper classifies the factors of calamity prevention and control into four kinds: environment, technology, human and management. Secondly, this paper develops the frameworks of management factors analysis and operation in calamity prevention and control of integrated transportation hub. At last, this paper points out the research fields of the integrated transportation hub calamity prevention and control in the future.

    Secure Flow is a holistic, integrated methodology that addresses all security vectors (paths that a terrorist may take to enter a threat object into the transportation system), allowing people, baggage, and cargo to move via various transportation systems in a secure fashion, while maintaining an "ease of access" to these diverse systems through innovative technology, procedures, and training. Secure Flow is a totally integrated transportation security system. It is a strategic program with multiple integration projects each being a vector such as: checked baggage, checkpoint, cargo/mail, airport, aircraft, port terminal, and cruise ships. Secure Flow identifies requirements for the establishment of protocols, standards, communications, and development of technologies to link deployable security equipment into a totally integrated transportation security system. The technology paths and methods of the functional components of this information platform were also discussed comprehensively.

  • An architectural framework of the integrated transportation information service system

    In order to meet the extensive, ever increasing user's requirements of transportation information services, an architectural framework of integrated transportation information service system is proposed. As an essential factor and driven force of the system, user requirements are analyzed and modeled. Analysis and modeling of business services are also described. User requirement pattern (URP) and business service pattern (BSP) are defined as the unified and normalized representations of the user requirements and business services in the system, respectively. The mapping process from URPs to BSPs is designed to ensure the flexibility and adaptability of the system. A four-layer architectural framework is deployed to provide powerful transportation information services for various users in the changing environment.

  • Design on the Integrated Transportation Management System for Coal Company

    In coal road transportation scheduling there are some problems such as the efficiency, loss, safety and so on, in order to solve these problems, this paper analyze the actual situation and the actual demand of coal mine, study the coal highway transportation integrated management system which is based on C/S+B/S architecture, integrate IC card technology, Web technology, GPS technology and other new technology, put forward that coal transportation integrated management system is composed of many systems, including vehicle franchise management system, parking management system, transport coal business management system, speech and SMS query system, GPS tracking system and freight settlement statistical system. The platform's practice effect in many counties showed, it can increase the coal tax of the regional local governments by 50%, increase the local transport business tax over ten million (annual coal output over five million tons), increase local employment of 100 people, make the coal transport vehicles overload decreased by 80%, improve the transportation efficiency by 30%, also bring considerable benefits to the coal logistics franchise company. The coal transportation management system realizes the high efficiency and convenient management of highway transportation vehicles, and has good social and economic benefits.
