Demonstration of synchronized information-sharing method on Web

2011 IEEE Consumer Communications and Networking Conference (CCNC), 2011

There is undoubtedly an increase in the number of Web-connected devices, such as home appliances, handheld devices, and smartphones. Though Web applications are intended for information sharing among users, conventional Web technology does not sufficiently support synchronized sharing of information among various devices. We propose a method for synchronized sharing information among various Web-connected devices. We present an online bingo ...

Ontology matching based traditional Chinese medicine clinical information sharing system

2013 IEEE International Conference on Bioinformatics and Biomedicine, 2013

In the TCM clinical and research information sharing system, structured electronic medical records (EHR) have captured a large amount of clinical case information. There are some exist problems about TCM data integration and information sharing. The purpose of this paper is to discuss the significance and causality of using ontology matching application in TCM data integration and information sharing, and ...

Information sharing in a multi-echelon inventory system

Tsinghua Science and Technology, 2007

The influence of different information sharing scenarios in a single supplier- single retailer supply chain is analyzed. The five information sharing scenarios are centralized information sharing, full information sharing, supplier-dominated information sharing, retailer-dominated information sharing, and noninformation sharing. Iterative procedures are developed to obtain the inventory policies and the system costs at equilibrium points. Numerical examples show that the cost ...

What Factors Influence the Information Sharing across Government Agencies?

2007 International Conference on Service Systems and Service Management, 2007

A conceptual model of G2G e-government information sharing is set up to explore what factors influence participation in G2G e-government information sharing for government agencies. It is tested through empirical research taking the samples of economical and financial information sharing. It is showed that legal/policy environments, program championship agencies, leader's support, IT capability, process traceability and organizational hierarchy have significant ...

Design and Implementation of Agriculture Product Supply Chain Information Sharing System Based on Web Service

2009 First International Workshop on Education Technology and Computer Science, 2009

Technological innovation and competition has forced some farms and granges to adopt supply chain mode to manage their supply, production and sale. Obviously, the operation of agriculture supply chain can not be separated from simultaneous, accurate information about purchase, production, demand, supply, sale and other operational activities. However, there are few scholars who have ever specially discussed on agriculture product ...

  • Demonstration of synchronized information-sharing method on Web

There is undoubtedly an increase in the number of Web-connected devices, such as home appliances, handheld devices, and smartphones. Though Web applications are intended for information sharing among users, conventional Web technology does not sufficiently support synchronized sharing of information among various devices. We propose a method for synchronized sharing information among various Web-connected devices. We present an online bingo game system as an example of an information-sharing application. Members of the bingo game can shout “Bingo!” at the same time among all members from different environments.

  • Ontology matching based traditional Chinese medicine clinical information sharing system

In the TCM clinical and research information sharing system, structured electronic medical records (EHR) have captured a large amount of clinical case information. There are some exist problems about TCM data integration and information sharing. The purpose of this paper is to discuss the significance and causality of using ontology matching application in TCM data integration and information sharing, and present its promising future in TCM medical informatics domain.

  • Information sharing in a multi-echelon inventory system

The influence of different information sharing scenarios in a single supplier- single retailer supply chain is analyzed. The five information sharing scenarios are centralized information sharing, full information sharing, supplier-dominated information sharing, retailer-dominated information sharing, and noninformation sharing. Iterative procedures are developed to obtain the inventory policies and the system costs at equilibrium points. Numerical examples show that the cost of a centralized inventory system is about 20%–40% lower than that of a decentralized system with non-information sharing. Furthermore, a higher information sharing level does not always lead to a lower system cost in a decentralized supply chain due to inventory competition.

  • Design and Implementation of Agriculture Product Supply Chain Information Sharing System Based on Web Service

Technological innovation and competition has forced some farms and granges to adopt supply chain mode to manage their supply, production and sale. Obviously, the operation of agriculture supply chain can not be separated from simultaneous, accurate information about purchase, production, demand, supply, sale and other operational activities. However, there are few scholars who have ever specially discussed on agriculture product supply chain information sharing system both in domestic and foreign literature. This paper attempts to sum up information and Web Service standard in agriculture product supply chain and establishes an information sharing system based on Web Service. By analyzing four information sharing system modules, the authors introduce the visiting principle of the information sharing system and explain how they are used and implemented in our platform. The authors hold that this kind of information sharing system can help the users view their interests visually in the client and the system can display what specify users interests in the platform.

  • Bullwhip Effect and the Value of Information Sharing in Supply Chain -- Illustrated by a Shipbuilding Supply Chain

The bullwhip effect in a supply chain seriously decreases the operation efficiency of the supply chain. Information sharing has been used as an important tool to resolve the challenges of supply chain management faced. Firstly, this paper analyzes the causes of bullwhip effect systemically, and then this paper analyzes the value of the information sharing in the a -supplier-multiretailers model. We find some useful conclusions between exist of information and absence of information. At last we use the shipbuilding supply chain to illustrate plenitudinous information sharing will decrease the bullwhip effect.

  • Research on building the information sharing platform based on the OGC web services

This paper analyzed the role of OGC Web services specifications in the sharing and interoperability of geographic information, gived a typical model of the information sharing platform based on OGC Web services, and described in detail the functions of each layer in the information sharing platform and the specific process of realizing geographic information sharing. On this basis, the paper built an information sharing experimental system based on the open source GIS platform Geoserver that conforms to OGC specifications. Furthermore, aiming at the disadvantages that the Geoserver can not provide WPS services, the paper individually designed and implemented a three-layer WPS server. The WPS server re-packaged many typical spatial operations in the GIS middleware GeoTools, to provide WPS services, thus realized fully sharing of rich third-party spatial data and third-party spatial operations.

  • Study on the morale of information sharing of supply chain based on the entrusted agency theory

Supply chain information sharing can be achieved by a reimbursable information sharing mechanisms. Through using the theory of entrusted agency and a single- task entrusted agency, the paper studies the problem about supply chain information sharing between manufacturers and sellers. The level effecting two sides can be described by a linear relation and income relations, as well as the morale of the contract can be analyzed under symmetrical and asymmetrical information circumstances. Consequently, the enterprises know the values of information sharing clearly, at the same time, the cost of supply chain management can be reduced and the efficiency of the supply chain management can be improved.
