    This paper describes the design and implementation of RTU based on the embedded operation system /spl mu/C/OS-II and DSP. In hardware design, the DSP and CPLD technology is adopted to improve systemic integration degree and reliability. In software design, the operating system /spl mu/C/OS-II is adopted as the software development platform that can supply better portability and expansibility, as a result real-time response and reliability are enhanced further. The methods that how to port the /spl mu/C/OS-II to DSP and how to implement application programs are discussed in this paper.

  • Design of intelligent mobile vehicle system and its global optimal path planning

    The intelligent mobile vehicle (IMV) is designed on embedded system with ARM9 and Windows CE.NET embedded operation system (EOS). It is a completely autonomous mobile vehicle system with hardware executive mechanics and corresponding intelligent path planning algorithm. The goal for the IMV is to run from the start point to the end point along the shortest path in any random scene autonomously. There are three problems needed to be solved to fulfill the goal: acquire the scene information, quickly plan out the global shortest path and track the optimal path. The global scene information is got through camera on top, then processed and transmitted to the IMV by radio and the global optimal path is planned out based on improved ant colony algorithm. The IMV tracks the optimal path by controlling the driver wheels with two DC motors based on fuzzy control method. Many sensors also must be equipped to assist tracking the shortest path. All the algorithms are realized with C++ under Windows CE.NET. The experiments show that the IMV system has a good performance in planning and tracking the global optimal path autonomously.

  • Real-time analysis system based on ARM and DSP for audio-frequency stress wave

    In this paper, by introducing audio-frequency stress wave reflection detection principle, an audio-frequency stress wave analysis system is presented and designed. The design based on a high performance FPGA of EPM7128, DSP of TMSVC5509 and an ARM chip of S3C2440 are introduced. FPGA is used as the core of data acquisition, DSP is used as the core of data processing, accompanied with S3C2440 chip as the core of data display and system control, and embedded operation system Linux is adopted as software of system. And the experiment results show that the method based on FFT, Wavelet transform, and Hilbert transform achieved good performance for audio-frequency stress wave reflection detection.

    This paper introduced how to transplant and realize the embedded real-time operation system on the 32 bit processor, in order to control furnace temperature, and finished application software's design.     First introduced the two-dimensional trajectory correction projectile shot contained a computer software program design. Pointed out on this foundation in the two-dimensional trajectory correction projectile using operating system is to overcome the traditional shortcomings of the important approach to software development. Then it is elaborated the popular military real-time embedded operating system. At the same time, in accordance with the two- dimensional trajectory correction projectile missile-borne computer software program design requirements were compared. The experiment results show that using real time operating system of missile-borne computer in real-time performance can meet the requirements.

  • Design and realization of a hardware-in-the-loop simulation system for a small- scale unmanned helicopter system

    In order to test the hardware and software system of a small-scale unmanned helicopter, a hardware-in-the-loop simulation system is designed and realized. This simulation system is based on VxWorks embedded operation system, with the dynamic model for the model helicopter to simulate the fight. With the Futaba remote control (RC) equipments and the pulse width modulation (PWM) wave collecting and sending module, we can do test on all the three kind of control mode: remote control by pilot; semi-automatic control by pilot; automatic fly, and the changing-over. With the ground control station, we can do simulation on flight missions and subjects. So we can have a test on all the hardware and software of almost by the simulation system.

  • High-integrated structured light 3-D measurement system based on ARM

    This paper proposes a high-integrated structured light 3-D measurement system based on ARM9 development platform and embedded Linux system. System scheme, system control and system measurement were investigated. First embedded operation system based on hardware platform of S3C2440 was analyzed, peripheral expansion device camera and serial controlled projector were used to constitute measurement system. Then image acquisition was realized through Video for Linux, projector was controlled through serial communication. Finally coordinates of object were obtained by structured light 3-D measurement method. This paper describes the hardware and software of measurement system; experimental results show that miniaturization and integration were realized in structured light 3-D measurement system.
