Establishing a good model during the analysis and design phase in the process of software development, is the key for the correct implementation of system. UML (Unified Modeling Language, Unified Modeling Language) is the standard modeling language, graphically on the system analysis and design, Suitable for all stages of software life cycle. Combining vehicle administrative management system, flowing with the UML modeling steps, using the modeling tool Enterprise Architect 12 which supports UML 2.0, it has completed system requirements modeling through use case diagram, static modeling through class diagram and package diagram, dynamic modeling through sequence diagram, activity diagram and state diagram, physical modeling through component diagram and deployment diagram. It implemented vehicle management, goods purchasing, personnel management, training management, loan management of life, and employee performance management, and other functions. Practice proves that the system model is more clear, better team communication, simplified development process, enhanced development efficiency.

Authors put forward applying the Unified Modeling Language to establishing the visual model of product development management in virtual enterprise. Moreover, authors set forth the detailed modeling methods and processes of use case diagram, activity diagram, sequence diagram and collaboration diagram. Then the visual model can be integrated with the diagrams. According to the visual model, the product development management in virtual enterprise can be arranged rationally, and then the manufacture efficiency can be enhanced markedly.

It also utilized the Object Constraint Language (OCL) to illustrate exactly constraints of the class. This method alleviates the highly dependent on domain knowledge experts. The quality and efficiency of the KBS are improved. Finally a case is given to validate the feasibility and reliability of the proposed approach.

The objective of this study is to develop a knowledge-based system using Unified Modeling Language (UML) in order to solve these problems.
Software development life cycle (SDLC) is developed much prior to evolution of unified modeling language (UML) (design diagrams). The stages of SDLC are syllogized when design stage comprises single level design diagrams and is accepted by the software developers as de-facto standard life cycle. UML is a multilevel state-of-the-art design language comprises number of design diagrams to represent different perceptive views of the System. UML helps to design stratification grammar. Now the introduction of UML diagrams creates commotion across and within SDLC stages. Since both are de-facto standards and both are essential for au-courant software development process. Neither can be jettisoned at the cost of the other. Thus there is a need either resurrect the syllogism definition or to resuscitate UML to reestablish constellation within and across UML. This paper attempts to resuscitate the constellation within UML as it is a sub part of SDLC. The class diagram represents class name, attributes, object methods along with their visibility, signature and interrelationships. The object diagrams which also containing similar information except the additional object and state information. In the middle level the usecase diagram defines real world of an actor in terms of its needy usecases. This cannot constellate the class diagram as the cluster of syntactics and semantics of class diagram cannot represent pragmatics of usecase. Analogical to the data flow diagram at higher level and usecase diagram at the middle level justifies its existence. Since it cannot constellates higher level class diagram there is a need to develop a stereotype of use case diagram that constellates a class diagram. This paper desiderates this need by pulling down object diagram with mutatis-mutandis to suite the stereotype of usecase diagram and constellates the class diagram.
User requirements for software development are getting more complicated and are changing all the time. Not only should the requirements engineering process be well-organized but requirements change management should also be effective, especially for complex systems. However, the software engineering methodology employed can also make requirements change difficult to manage. Object-oriented software engineering using unified modeling language (UML) describes software systems by providing multiple views and diagrams. Therefore, software development with UML needs effective requirements change management. This study proposed a requirements change management model for object-oriented methodology with UML. In order to demonstrate the proposed model, business models from the selected case study, Mission Hospital Phuket, were chosen as the user requirements for the prototype system. Two aspects of the proposed system's performance were evaluated in the research laboratory: (1) users' expectation and (2) users' satisfaction.
We present a conceptual framework for modeling GMPLS-based networks and the solutions to their associated problems. The framework is targeted towards a larger scale initiative by us for designing a Unified Modeling Language (UML) Profile that can help with conceptual modeling of typical GMPLS network design problems. While there are pieces of literature available that describe profiles for other application areas, there are no profiles for use in networking problems, in general. Our work is an important step forward to address this deficiency
Unified Modeling Language is a specialized basic curriculum of software engineering, which plays an important role in improving the ability of analyzing problems, problem-solving abilities in software development. Modern software project modeling engineers require a range of multi-disciplinary skill-sets in order to increase the likelihood of project success. Delivery of a course unit, which attempts to prepare students for the rigors demanded from this role, demands a delicate blend of topics from curricula administrators and pedagogy that best suits its environmental constraints. Our Software Engineering staff member adopt an integrated case method approach in an attempt to link theoretical constructs of software project modeling with a real-world, practical implementation example. An analysis of student feedback indicates a variation in understanding of what had been learnt, providing an opportunity to advance the teaching model.
Take the design of a performance evaluation system for the R&D staff of a biological institute as an example, we used the use case diagram, package diagram, class diagram, deployment diagram, sequence diagram and activity diagram in the analysis and design of an object-oriented programming, which makes the system analysis and modeling much simpler and straightforward by minimizing the difference between modeling languages.
