  • Improved safety management system of coal mine based on iris identification and RFID technique

    It used to be difficult to precisely understand the situation of miners underground according to the existed miner safety management system. To solve this problem, we propose an improved safety management system based on iris identification and RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) technique. It combines several modern identification and communication techniques such as iris identification, RFID, computer networks and database technique. Iris identification technique is used to identify the miners by the physiological characteristics of iris and specific database for every individual is build to record the precise attendance information. Moreover, RFID is used to realize real-time tracking miners underground. Practical results show that the improved miner safety management system is able to count the number of miners underground exactly and on time, providing the reliable and useful information for daily miner management and emergency rescue. The improved system has high quality of reliability, veracity and security.

  • A simple and effective method for the use of chemical accident cases

    Past chemical industry accident cases include volume valuable information like precursor, equipment involved, relevant causes and experiences of emergence response. In-depth analysis and fully utilization of these information play an important decision-making role in controlling risk and enhancing safety performance in chemical industry. In this work, a survey of use of accident data is conducted around the world and the result shows that the detailed use of these information play an important role in preventing accidents. However, in China there much more needs to be done in the application of accident data. According to the needs of safety management of chemical plants, a simple and effective method of the use of chemical accident cases is proposed based on collecting and analyzing of a large number of chemical accident cases. And finally, a utilization system of chemical industry accident cases is implemented through Microsoft access 2010. The result shows that the system can realize the effective management and use of past chemical accident information.

  • An Overall Construction of SMIS in Chinese Enterprises

    In this paper, a safety management information system (SMIS) is constructed to change the situation of inefficiency of safety work for traditional safe management in China. Firstly, according to several relative theories such as system safety management theory and management information system theory, four subsystems and five function modules are designed for the internal system of SMIS to store, analyze, predict, evaluate safety information and make decisions based on the characteristics of enterprises in China. Secondly, this paper introduces the structure and functions of each subsystem. At the same time, the data system, as one of the main subsystems, is designed in details. With the application of SMIS, safe management in Chinese enterprises will become more informative, more systemic, more standardized and more advanced.

  • The information security risk assessment model based on GA - BP

    In the research of information security information security issues, many factors can cause the system to insecurity. In order to improve the accuracy of the risk assessment of information security, information security risk assessment model based on GA (genetic algorithm) and BP neural network is proposed. Using genetic algorithm to optimize the weights and thresholds of BP neural network to establish an information security risk assessment model, and using MATLAB to simulate, predict the value of risk. The simulation results show that GA-BP, compared with the standard BP neural network, with lower simulation error and better fitting effect, is a good information security risk assessment model.

  • Coalmine Safety Information System Based on MapGIS

    To manage coalmine maps and handle the safety production information, on the condition that the SCADA system has been completely built, the Coalmine Safety Information System for a southwest county in China is developed using Visual C++ 6.0 and Visual InterDev 6.0 based on MapGIS. To meet different requirement of different level users, the system adopts the mixed architecture with C/S and B/S. This can not only enlarge the dimension of information sharing but also reduce the total cost. Three modules are included in the system: coalmine map management and update module, real-time prewarning module and WebGIS module. Perfect prewarning mechanism is built. It proves that the system could run stably and practically.

  • Research on Risk Management of Gas Safety based on Big Data

    In order to solve the shortcomings of coal mine enterprises in gas safety management, according to the big data theory, a safety management analysis method is proposed. First, the behavioral safety theory is used to classify the causes of gas hazards. Then use the HDFS to storage the unsafe behavior and unsafe physical state that found by behavior observers, and finally use the MapReduce-based parallel FP-growth algorithm to find out the repeated and dangerous unsafe behaviors in daily operations, and form a Hadoop-based gas behavior security management model. The experimental results show that the model has certain practical reference value for the targeted implementation of gas safety management in coal mine enterprises. Through the unsafe behavior and physical state found, the shortcomings in safety management will be discover, it will help enterprises improve the safety management system. So it has certain prospects for improving the safety production culture of coal mine enterprises and reducing the occurrence of gas accidents.
