  • RF circuits commutator for EMC laboratories

    Disadvantages and advantages of classical solutions for RF circuits commutator used in EMC laboratories equipped with anechoic chambers were presented in the article. An innovative solution of RF circuits commutator, which is dedicated for use in anechoic chambers was proposed. It is characterised with no disadvantages typical for classical solutions accessible on the market (e.g., OSP-130 commutator) resulting from placing executing (RF switches) as well as control circuits for them in one enclosure. There, in the article, the block diagram of the solution proposed was presented. Also, the results of the anechoic chamber shielding efficiency measurements were shown in the article for the location where coaxial cables penetrations are installed and connected to particular outputs of measurement sensors using the proposed solution of the RF circuits commutator. The results of comparative analysis were shown, too, for shielding efficiency of the anechoic chamber using the proposed solution as well as classical solutions of RF commutators.

    This paper presents an efficient architecture of number Theoretical transform (NTT), targeting at fulfilling large integer multiplication for fully homomorphic encryption applications. A systematic memory management scheme is proposed for the pipelined shared-memory NTT architecture implemented with mixed-radix multi-path delay commutators (MDCs). The presented data relocation scheme along with the MDC can be applied to merge multiple banks with single- port memory for further reducing the area requirement. Experimental results show that a 1,179,648-bit multiplier implemented by the proposed solution, including seamless data transfer among the building blocks, can lead to more than 39.8% area reduction with even a lower computational time as compared with the related works.

  • On the Design of Stabilizing Cycles for Switched Linear Systems

    Given a family of systems, identifying stabilizing switching signals in terms of infinite walks constructed by concatenating cycles on the underlying directed graph of a switched system that satisfy certain conditions, is a well-known technique in the literature. This letter deals with a new method to design these cycles for stability of switched linear systems. We employ properties of the subsystem matrices and mild assumption on the admissible switches between the subsystems for this purpose. In contrast to prior works, our construction of stabilizing cycles does not involve design of Lyapunov- like functions and storage of sets of scalars in memory prior to the application of a cycle detection algorithm. As a result, the techniques proposed in this letter offer improved numerical tractability.

  • An Area Efficient 1024-Point Low Power Radix-22FFT Processor With Feed-Forward Multiple Delay Commutators

This paper proposes a novel radix- 22multiple delay commutator architecture utilizing the advantages of the radix-22algorithm, such as simple butterflies and less memory requirement. Therefore, it is more hardware efficient when implementing parallelism for higher throughput using multiple delay commutators or feed-forward data paths. Here, we propose an improved input scheduling algorithm based upon memory to eliminate energy required to shift data along the delay lines. A 1024-point FFT processor with two parallel data paths is implemented in 65-nm CMOS process technology. The FFT processor occupies an area of 3.6 mm2, successfully operates in the supply voltage range from 0.4-1 V and the maximum clock frequency of 600 MHz. For low voltage, high performance applications, the processor is able to operate at 400 MHz and consumes 60.3 mW or 77.2 nJ/FFT generating 800 Msamples/s at 0.6 V supply.
