    As an emerging technology for implementing Web services over the Internet, mobile agent model has several advantages over the traditional RFC model. However, with the popularity of distributed networks (e.g. Internet), Web service providers tend to rely on external resources to complete certain tasks. This definitely increases the difficulty in locating appropriate service providers according to clients' requirements in the new scenario. To address this issue, we propose a reinforcement learning process based on the mobile agent model, which makes agents more efficient and intelligent in selecting Web service providers. Finally, an implementation of our prototype is presented

    Web services are constructed to build the electronic business application to provide flexibility and interconnection of different applications using the internet. When a user can not satisfied any individual service then in order to satisfy the need of user request service, composition is performed to compose the available services. When there are different web services available then we need a suitable method to perform the composition of services depending upon the quality of service parameters. In our proposed work, we tried to compose the web service with maximum overall QoS valuesaccording to the user's queries. To solve the service composition, we applied quality of service (QoS) parameters, a combination of particle swarm optimization (PSO) and ant colony optimization (ACO) algorithms for service composition.

  • A Research of SQL-Based Web Services Automatic Generating Strategy

    In recent years, web technologies as well as XML have gained broad application throughout the industry. Web services have become increasingly important for network application solutions since the business processes are no longer constrained by company-related boundaries by the use of web services. In order to avoid the considerable mass of repeated time consuming hand coding at low- level, a SQL-based Web Services Automatic Generating Strategy is put forward in this paper which enables users to generate personalized web services automatically by SQL statements with additional custom tags defined in the strategy. By adopting this strategy, enterprises can shorten development cycle and reduce the cost of both financial and human resources. Finally, an architecture is implemented where dynamic web services can be automatically created. The experiment results prove that the SQL-based web services automatic generating strategy proposed is simple and extendable to build and deploy web services at run-time.

  • A reverse engineering approach for specifying Semantic Web Service with respect to MDA

    The semantic Web promises automates invocation, discovery and composition of Web services by enhancing services with semantic descriptions. This paper describes a model driven approach to facilitate the construction of OWL-S specifications. The methodology is divided into three main steps. In the first step we reverse engineered WSDL documents into UML profile models that enable the use of high-level graphical models as an integration platform for semantic Web services. In the second step, suitable domain ontologies are used for the semantic annotation of the UML models. Finally, in the third step a conversion tool will generate automatically the OWL-S description from these UML models. The UML profile provides flexibility as it can expresses multiple semantic Web service concepts.

  • Semantic Innovation Management System for the extended enterprise

    Innovation Management is crucial for enterprises to survive and succeed in a competitive environment. Due to the distributed and heterogeneous characteristics of innovation information, it is difficult to implement a satisfying and cost effective innovation management system for the extended enterprise. However, the development of semantic web technologies brings a new way to solve this problem. In this paper, a framework for a Semantic Innovation Management System (SIMS) based on metadata harvesting technologies and RDF access technologies is presented. A practical case study developed using RDF Gateway is also presented. Our work demonstrates the feasibility and potential to adopt semantic web technologies to improve innovation management across extended enterprises.

  • An operational semantics for DFM, a formal notation for modelling asynchronous Web services coordination

    This paper presents the DFM notation and its operational semantics. DFM (document flow model) is a message-based workflow notation for modelling asynchronous Web services communication, which uses coordination mechanisms to support dynamic configurations and long-running business processes. The operational semantics of a DFM specification describes the possible behaviours of a system of interrelated Web services, in terms of the messages that can be exchanged during the execution of one or more business processes, and the effect each message execution has on the business process state.
