It is expected that GRS Letters will apply to a wide range of remote sensing activities looking to publish shorter, high-impact papers. Topics covered will remain within the IEEE Geoscience and Remote Sensing Societys field of interest: the theory, concepts, and techniques of science and engineering as they apply to the sensing of the earth, oceans, atmosphere, and space; and ...
IEEE Transactions on Industrial Informatics focuses on knowledge-based factory automation as a means to enhance industrial fabrication and manufacturing processes. This embraces a collection of techniques that use information analysis, manipulation, and distribution to achieve higher efficiency, effectiveness, reliability, and/or security within the industrial environment. The scope of the Transaction includes reporting, defining, providing a forum for discourse, and informing ...

Finding employment requires more than technical competence. An engineer will has to understand the organization he or she is in or joining and be flexible to change in response to an employers needs. The era of finding employment based on titles is over. Engineers must be able to tell an employer how they will contribute to the organizations success. This requires that an individuals have assessed their skills and their goals before searching for employment. The IEEE-USA Career Maintenance and Development Committee has created a series of workshops to assist individuals in assessing their careers and goals. Career assessment is essential in today's rapidly changing aerospace environment. Companies are not only downsizing, they are also permanently eliminating levels of their organizations. Career planning is becoming an individuals responsibility. Flexibility and adaptability play a key part in careers of both new graduate engineers and experienced practitioners. By assessing goals and desires, one can then effectively express these to the present or potential employers.<<ETX>>
This standard covers drawout type, indoor, medium-voltage ground and test (G&T) devices for use in drawout metal-clad switchgear rated 4.76 kV through 38 kV as described in IEEE Std C37.20.2. Four G&T device types are generally supplied for temporary circuit maintenance procedures for insertion in place of the circuit breaker as follows: a) Simple manual devices b) Complex manual devices ...
This International Standard establishes a common framework for software life cycle processes, with welldefined terminology, that can be referenced by the software industry. It contains processes, activities, and tasks that are to be applied during the acquisition of a software product or service and during the supply, development, operation, maintenance and disposal of software products. Software includes the software portion ...
