  • Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the Evaluation of the Demand Response in the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca Buildings

    The concept of Demand Response (DR) is not really widespread across Romania, so the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca (TUCN) implemented a pilot project in its own buildings within the Horizon 2020, named DR-BOB (project no. 696114/2016). Within this project, the Romanian demonstration site implemented different DR events throughout the whole evaluation period. The Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are calculated for each DR event and on the entire evaluation year. This paper reflects the evaluation of the pilot sites, focusing on description of calculation method of the KPIs and the results obtained at the Swimming Pool Complex. The KPIs are calculated in accordance with the methodology defined in [6].

This paper presents a lightweight anomaly detection method, which is able to identify the pattern of metric's behavior and will be able to adjust itself to possible pattern modification caused by either new service releases and/or natural changes of utilization.

The goal of this paper is to create a system and report that can help marketing to choose which product suitable to be offered to customer. This paper proposes a data warehouse development through methodology designed by Kimball and Ross. Furthermore, the data can be analyzed using OLAP and then displayed on the dashboard. With this business solution, PT. XYZ can process and choose what kind of products are suitable for customer relatively faster. The result shows that the system can choose which products are suitable to be offered to customer from the dashboard display.

  • Implementation of Balanced Scorecard Method for Assessing Key Performance Indicators

    performance measurement is not only important in the business world but also in the world of education. These measurements can be used to assess the success of higher education in order to improve the quality of education on an ongoing basis. The College is required to improve the quality of education to get accreditation. This research was conducted on the performance measurement Information System Study Program of the Faculty of engineering and computer science University of Main Potential (PSSI UPU) to find out the value of performansinya as a whole. The method used is the Balanced Scorecard method is comprehensive, coherent, balanced, and measurable. The first thing to do is determine the strategy objective of the four perspectives of the Balanced Scorecard. Of each strategy objective specified Key Performance Indicator (KPI) for each perspective, along with the value of the targets and the realization of each of these KPIS. After that, the KPI is calculated using a KPI-Objeective Matrix (OMAX) and analyzed using a Traffic Light System to find out the value of the total index and category from the index.

  • Measuring Customer Satisfaction Using CRM Scorecard in Canteen FASILKOM UNSRI

    Fasilkom canteen as businesses can compete with other canteens on Sriwijaya University both in relation to gain or maintain customers. Problems faced by fasilkom canteen pertaining to customers can be overcome by Customer Relationship Management (CRM) model. This paper is written with objective of knowing the service has been accepted by students as one of the ultimate. Methods used is CRM Scorecard. That these findings it will give evaluation future for the fasilkom canteen in doing management of customers. The total number of respondents of the questionnaires about 59 people consisting of the students fasilkom 2013-2016. Customer satisfaction to canteen fasilkom worth less, well that needs to be improved concern for seating, courtesy and patience when serve their customers. Other perspective are seller performance 3.59 that is the greatest value of four perspective, 3.35 process, 3.48 customer and 3.26 infrastructure proven it has indicated good value. But must keep improved because of it is near from enough range.

  • Applying Machine Learning to Service Assurance in Network Function Virtualization Environment

    With the complexity, heterogeneity, and scale of today's networks, service assurance is becoming increasingly complicated. Meanwhile, significant amounts of telemetry data are collected on virtual network functions; it has been proposed that machine learning can be used to predict/forecast key performance indicators by analyzing this data and then taking actions to prevent severe service degradation. In this paper, we demonstrate the process of telemetry data collecting and filtering, feature dimension reduction, and machine learning algorithm selection for detecting packet loss in a NFV based vEPC test system.

  • Approach to Identify KPAs and KPIs for Higher Education Institutions

    Everyone realizes the importance of having a motivated, quality work force, but even our finest people cannot perform at their best due to lack of understanding of institutional/ organizational processes. Poorly understood by employees, how can we expect operations to give best output? People, Process and technology are the major determinants of product cost, schedule, and quality. While process is often described as a node of the process-people- technology triad, it can also be considered the "glue" that ties the triad together. Identification of KPAs and KPIs is the need for today's higher education institutions without which survival of education system and its working may not justify at par quality output. Overall aim of this paper is to identify and explore all possible KPAs and KPAs for higher educational institutions to balance human resources.

  • Enhancing Ecoinnovation Performance: Evidence From a Water Footprint Assessment in the Manufacturing Industry

    The unprecedented global environmental crisis we are facing nowadays is pushing the economic actors to rethink their approach to sustainable development. As a consequence, firms are increasingly adopting and implementing ecoinnovations in their processes in order to improve the management of scarce natural resources. This paper describes a method to assess the water footprint (WF) in the manufacturing industry. Data are collected from two manufacturing plants of Volvo (Umea and Tuve) in Sweden and constitute the baseline scenario against which seven new scenarios are tested. Such new scenarios describe the implementation of seven different technologies into the water management system of the organization. A combination of key performance indicators is instrumental to generate the WF of each scenario. Through this method, we are able to disentangle which technological change can pave the way toward a substantial improvement of the organizational WF.
