Key issues in developing a standard [software metrics]

Sulgrove, R.N. Software Engineering Standards Application Workshop, 1991., Fourth, 1991

Developing an IEEE standard is an involved process; it is much more than merely preparing a document for ballot. Many content issues must be addressed before a consensus for the document can be obtained. Many administrative issues must be handled. These are non-trivial tasks, especially since the working group preparing the document is a volunteer group that functions for several ...

Efficient key distribution for slow computing devices: achieving fast over the air activation for wireless systems

Carroll, C.; Frankel, Y.; Tsiounis, Y. Security and Privacy, 1998. Proceedings. 1998 IEEE Symposium on, 1998

Any system which contains some form of cryptographic authentication, confidentiality and/or identification requires the provisioning of a secure key generation and distribution capability. The key distribution mechanism for wireless cellular systems, such as IS-95 CDMA, IS-136 TDMA and IS-91 Analog, has recently been investigated by the Telephone Industry Association's standards working groups. There are several requirements that a cellular key ...
