Applicability of feature selection on multivariate time series data for robotic discovery

Shahzad Cheema; Timo Henne; Uwe Koeckemann; Erwin Prassler 2010 3rd International Conference on Advanced Computer Theory and Engineering(ICACTE), 2010

Open ended robotic discovery aims at enabling robots to autonomously design and execute sophisticated experiments for gaining conceptual insight about real world. Such experiments are planned activities rather than innate motor commands and thus each single experiment results in a multivariate time series. In such a scenario, reducing the number of features in order to allow a symbolic learner to ...

Practical Design Considerations or Inverter Drives

Carlton E. Graf; Einar A. Skogsholm; Werner K. Volkmann IEEE Transactions on Industry Applications, 1973

Several design features incorporated into a line of pulse-width modulated inverter drives are described. They include voltage and current protective circuits that provide SCR protection without fuses. A modified McMurray communication circuit is covered. Design considerations for high-voltage (460 V) inverters and paralleling of inverters are discussed. Finally, a modular packaging system providing good maintainability is described.
