Tiled Interleaving for Multi-Level 2-D Discrete Wavelet Transform

Jung-Wook Kim; Jinook Song; Seokho Lee; In-Cheol Park 2007 IEEE International Symposium on Circuits and Systems, 2007

This paper presents a new architecture of 2D discrete wavelet transform (DWT) proposed for JPEG 2000. In the proposed architecture, the image is segmented into tiles each of which is sequentially processed to minimize the size of buffers required to process 2D DWT, and multi-level DWTs are interleaved to reduce the size of the repeat buffer drastically. Compared to the ...

Case study: Digital offset printing- resolution and color reproduction

L. Mandic; I. Majnaric; A. Poljicak; D. Agic 2008 15th International Conference on Systems, Signals and Image Processing, 2008

In this paper, the influence of resolution on the color quality reproduction in digital offset printing were investigated. In our experiment special test charts were printed with different resolutions and compared. The results show that high resolution improve image contrast but not the color reproduction.

Novel decoupling circuit enabling notable electromagnetic noise suppression and high-density packaging in a digital printed circuit board

S. Yoshida; H. Tohya 1998 IEEE EMC Symposium. International Symposium on Electromagnetic Compatibility. Symposium Record (Cat. No.98CH36253), 1998

This paper describes a novel decoupling circuit comprising magnetic materials and built-in choking coils which makes it possible to significantly suppress noise in a digital printed circuit board (PCB). It is well known that the common-mode current existing in the cables and chassis of digital equipment causes major radio frequency radiation from equipment. We found that the common-mode current in ...

The restriction on delta-I noise along the power/ground layer in the highspeed digital printed circuit board

Electromagnetic Compatibility, 1998. 1998 IEEE International Symposium on, 1998

In the high-speed digital printed circuit board (PCB), there exists a layer capacitance (generally from 0.02 nF to 200 nF) between the closely spaced power and ground layers, which has some restriction on delta-I noise. According to the MPIE (mixed potential integral equation), a model is developed to analyze and characterize quantitatively the restriction on delta-I noise by the power/ground ...

This paper presents the fabrication of a micro droplet ejector for the application of digital printing system. The ejector makes the ink droplets of approximately 80 squaremum diameter on demand. The ejecting system is the type of face-shooter. The method of actuating membrane is bending mode using d31 of PZT. The size of ejector is 27.6 mm x 27.75 mm ...

Digital Printout System for Whole Body Scanner

Bio-Medical Electronics, IRE Transactions on, 1961

A scintillation scanner has been developed for large-area mapping of high- energy gamma emitting radioisotope distributions in a patient undergoing metabolic studies. An unusual method of operation uses a solenoid-operated electric typewriter as a digital plotter. A three-figure entry of the count observed at each position of the stepwise scan pattern is typed with a decimal point locator to allow ...

Automated diagnosis of arbitrary digital circuits

Circuits and Systems, 1989., Proceedings of the 32nd Midwest Symposium on, 1989

A method capable of diagnosing arbitrary digital circuits in the presence of multiple faults is developed. The method uses a stable-table representation of the components. The circuit is entered graphically. It is possible to produce a diagnosis without making any assumption about the fault behavior. Prior knowledge about the correct operation of some components can be taken into account

An Object-Oriented Model of Digital Assets Management Systems in Printing Industries

Computer Science and Software Engineering, 2008 International Conference on, 2008

Searching, cataloging and retrieving digital information can present hurdles in many assets systems of printing industries. Current methods of storing and retrieving information through databases involve the use of traditional relational architecture model. However, as new technologies and methods evolve, an object-oriented (OO) architecture model can better serve the cataloging needs of those assets systems. This paper explores the possibility ...
