Case study: Digital offset printing- resolution and color reproduction

Mandic, L.; Majnaric, I.; Poljicak, A.; Agic, D. Systems, Signals and Image Processing, 2008. IWSSIP 2008. 15th International Conference on, 2008

In this paper, the influence of resolution on the color quality reproduction in digital offset printing were investigated. In our experiment special test charts were printed with different resolutions and compared. The results show that high resolution improve image contrast but not the color reproduction.

Researches on original image gamut in digital printing

Li Xiao-zhou; Dong Cui-hua Fuzzy Systems and Knowledge Discovery (FSKD), 2012 9th International Conference on, 2012

Image-to-Device color gamut mapping is one of the most important trends in gamut mapping work. And many researchers have studied more in the area of new and common method for gamut mapping. In this paper, the original images gamut was studied. And we proposed four properties of image gamut including gamut volume, color distribution density, projection on a*b* plane and ...

PTP/IP - a new transport specification for wireless photography

Bigioi, P.; Susanu, G.; Steinberg, E.; Corcoran, P. Consumer Electronics, IEEE Transactions on, 2005

PTP (picture transfer protocol ISO-15740) is an international standard for connectivity and interface of digital photography devices. In this paper, we describe how PTP can be extended to work over generic TCP/IP networks. As digital cameras and printers becomes wireless, PTP/IP provides the necessary flexibility of applications infrastructure for networked digital photography.

Error bounds for error diffusion and related digital halftoning algorithms

Adler, R.; Kitchens, B.; Martens, M.; Nogueira, A.; Tresser, C.; Wu, C.W. Circuits and Systems, 2001. ISCAS 2001. The 2001 IEEE International Symposium on, 2001

We study error bounds of error diffusion and related digital halftoning algorithms. We define a large class of error diffusion algorithms and give sufficient and necessary conditions for the existence of an error diffusion algorithm with bounded error. In particular, we show that there exists an error diffusion algorithm with bounded errors if and only if the input colors lie ...
