2012 7th International Conference on Malicious and Unwanted Software (MALWARE)

This years conference will pay particular attention to (and will also be extensively discussed in several panel sessions) the pressing topic of Defending the Extended Network What happened to the walls As Smartphones become the preferred access device, while applications and data reside at multiple locations in the Cloud, the idea of protecting the network and the end-point (a Windows device) is no longer practical. A paradigm shift is upon us, and protecting both application and data in a world of billions of Smartphone devices is intriguing and challenging. Clearly, there is no longer a network to protect. Further, the concept of an extended network has significant limitations. In the new paradigm what is emerging is the concept a Trusted Domains with no physical boundaries. Thus, the organizers of Malware 2012 Asia Pacific solicit original written contributions addressing these issues and research questions. Manuscripts focusing on the security properties of Trusted Domains, Cloud Computing.

Time-domain analysis of ARM7TDMI core instructions

Borovyi, A.; Kochan, V.; Laopoulos, T.; Sachenko, A. Intelligent Data Acquisition and Advanced Computing Systems (IDAACS), 2011 IEEE 6th International Conference on, 2011

Correlation between time-domain of routine execution and obtained waveforms is analyzed. In this case CPU's internal activities, related to the instruction execution can be defined more explicitly. In such manner power consumption of the CPU may be separated from noises and external effects. Proposed approach has been used for analysis of some data-processing instructions of ARM7TDMI, in order to estimate ...

A sensorless initial rotor position estimation method for two-phase hybrid stepping motors

Tanaka, H.; Tatsuta, F.; Nishikata, S. Electrical Machines and Systems (ICEMS), 2013 International Conference on, 2013

Stepping motors are used for high precision and low cost positioning motor which can be controlled with no feedback control. So it is used in OA (Office Automation) and FA (Factory Automation) applications. However, because of open-loop control, the motor may rotate in the wrong direction temporarily when it starts. This problem can be resolved through using initial rotor position ...

Steady state eddy current analysis in multiply-excited magnetic systems with arbitrary terminal conditions

Weiss, J.; Garg, V.K. Magnetics, IEEE Transactions on, 1988

A novel finite-element formulation is presented for the classical steady-state eddy-current problem in multiply excited magnetic systems with arbitrary terminal conditions. The formulation consists of obtaining the magnetic vector potential, the electric field, and the total measurable currents in a magnetic circuit that is coupled with a lumped electrical circuit, given the terminal voltage. The algorithm presented preserves the symmetry ...

Tokoro, N.; Bowen, C.M.; LaFontain, M.R.; Jost, J.; Woo Jin Lee Ion Implantation Technology Proceedings, 1998 International Conference on, 1999

Photoresist outgassing is one of the inherent issues of application of high energy (MeV) ion implantation due to the use of thick photoresist and relatively low dose (low E13 for typical well formations) compared to the critical dose of carbonization of the photoresist. In the present work, photoresist outgassing characteristics of high energy (MeV) ion implantation have been investigated from ...
