Channel coding performance of optical MIMO indoor visible light communication

Mahesh Kumar Jha; Anusha Addanki; Y V S Lakshmi; Navin Kumar 2015 International Conference on Advances in Computing, Communications and Informatics (ICACCI), 2015

In this paper, a visible light communication (VLC) in the indoor environment based on MIMO system is investigated and analyzed. An attempt is made to optimize the placement of light emitting diodes (LED) VLC emitter in 4 × 4 MIMO configuration at ceiling and ground floor for the receiver to obtain uniform signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) for the desired bit error ...

Predict customer innovativeness toward Telematics: Via reduced form model from a normative marketing perspective

Yung-Hsin Chen; Shuo-Chang Tsai; Long-Tai Chen; Han-Ying Wang 2010 7th International Conference on Service Systems and Service Management, 2010

Innovation in both technology and service play a crucial role in enhancing consumers' living standard and companies' growth. Outcomes of Innovation often go premature due to failing to cross the chasm of adoption. Literature in this domain takes the positive perspective to describe and explain the phenomena, however, scarcely provides any solution. This study from a normative marketing perspective proposes ...

Big data analysis using Hadoop cluster

Ankita Saldhi; Dipesh Yadav; Dhruv Saksena; Abhinav Goel; Ankur Saldhi; S. Indu 2014 IEEE International Conference on Computational Intelligence and Computing Research, 2014

Industries keep a check on all statistics of their business and process this data using various data mining techniques to measure profit trends, revenue, growing markets and interesting opportunities to invest. These statistical records keep on increasing and increase very fast. Unfortunately, as the data grows it becomes a tedious task to process such a large data set and extract ...

From to educational meta-data authoring to educational meta-data management

V. Papaioannou; P. Karadimitriou; A. Papageorgiou; C. Karagiannidis; D. Sampson Proceedings IEEE International Conference on Advanced Learning Technologies, 2001

Educational meta-data can significantly assist the effective and efficient retrieval of educational resources. Currently, there are a number of tools for educational meta-data authoring, facilitating the creation and modification of educational meta-data files. The paper outlines the requirements, and proposes an architecture for the development of a complete EMD management toolkit which go beyond meta-data authoring, supporting the educational community ...

A Fault-Tolerant and Consistent SDN Controller

Andres J. Gonzalez; Gianfranco Nencioni; Bjarne E. Helvik; Andrzej Kamisinski 2016 IEEE Global Communications Conference (GLOBECOM), 2016

Software-Defined Networking (SDN) is a new paradigm that promises to enhance network flexibility and innovation. However, operators need to thoroughly assess its advantages and threats before they can implement it. Robustness and fault tolerance are among the main criteria to be considered in such assessment. The currently available SDN controllers offer different fault tolerance mechanisms, but there are still many ...
